The processing plant at Nyhamna in Aukra municipality in Møre og Romsdal was operational in 2007.
An important part of Norway’s gas value chain
The facility is designed to handle large volumes of gas and plays a central role in Norway’s gas infrastructure. It was originally part of the Ormen Lange development but is now also connected to other fields in the Norwegian Sea through the Polarled pipeline. The facility has an export capacity of 84 million standard cubic meters of gas per day and contributes to stable energy supply to the European market.
Nyhamna is owned by the joint venture called Nyhamna Joint Venture, consisting of the following companies :
Petoro, Equinor and North Sea Infrastructure.
