Population growth and urbanization are causing the world to demand increasingly more energy. At the same time, greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced. Realistic solutions for transitioning to large-scale renewable energy do not yet exist. In the meantime, the world needs more gas. The alternative to gas is far worse.
